Alwynne Pritchard

Alwynne Pritchard is a British composer, vocalist and performer based in Bergen on the West coast of Norway where she also holds the post of Artistic Director of the BIT20 ensemble. Her compositions and performances have been heard across Europe, America and Indonesia, and she has worked with leading musicians and ensembles across the globe. As a vocalist, Alwynne has performed both improvised and composed music, commissioning for her solo DOG/GOD project nine new music-theatre miniatures from Adam de la Cour, Vinko Globokar, Hollie Harding, Felix Kubin, Helmut Oehring, Trond Reinholdtsen, François Sarhan, Gerhard Stäbler and Øyvind Torvund. These were premiered at the Bergen International Festival 2015 and selected works were later performed at festivals in the UK and Germany.

In 2015, Alwynne also formed the music-theatre company Neither Nor with her partner Thorolf Thuestad, creating projects for the Borealis festival in Bergen, as well as working in collaboration with France's Scènes Théâtre Cinéma company on a production of Heiner Müller's Die Hamletmaschine for Théâtre Le Point du Jour in Lyon. They are currently working on The Art of Violin Playing, a project for two violinists, two dancers, actor and electronics.
