Vocalist/composer Jessika Kenney was born in Spokane, Washington in 1976. In the late 90s she began a long-standing relationship with Javanese culture, and in 2004 began formal study of the Persian radifs and classical poetry with Ostad Hossein Omoumi. Her recorded work includes "Aestuarium" (2005, Endless Records) and "The face of the earth", (2012, Ideologic Organ) collaborations with her beloved, Eyvind Kang. In 2015 Kenney released "ATRIA" on the avant-metal Sige label,as well as creating a large sound and video installation entitled "Anchor Zero", including a kind of bamboo ka'aba in collaboration with Otong Durahim, a room of her talismanic calligraphic scores, and in collaboration with Claudia Merzendorfer, Daniel Menche, and Faith Coloccia, a three-room, 12-channel audio 3-channel video exploration of locating through vocalization: "Our centers have pantheistic inclinations, and our skin against skin moments monistic."
